Privacy Policy
UrbanCart is a local marketplace platform for customers, vendors, and delivery partners. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, protect, and retain information when you use UrbanCart apps, websites, admin panels, and related services.
Information we collect
- Account information: name, mobile number, email address, profile details, OTP verification status, and login/session details.
- Order information: cart items, product variants, quantities, invoices, payment status, refunds, cancellations, coupons, charges, and delivery instructions.
- Address and location information: saved addresses, selected delivery location, vendor shop location, delivery partner live/last known location, route distance, and delivery status when required to provide delivery and tracking features.
- Vendor and delivery partner information: business details, KYC documents, bank details, vehicle details, working hours, availability status, delivery assignments, earnings, and withdrawal details.
- Device and notification information: device identifiers, FCM tokens, app version, crash/error logs, and notification interaction data.
How we use information
We use information to create and manage accounts, verify mobile numbers, show available vendors and products, process orders and payments, assign delivery partners, calculate delivery charges, provide invoices, send order and status notifications, prevent fraud, improve app reliability, provide support, and comply with legal requirements.
Sharing of information
We share only the information needed to complete marketplace operations. For example, vendors may see order items and pickup details, delivery partners may see pickup and customer delivery details, and payment providers may receive payment-related details needed to process transactions. We do not sell personal data.
Location data
Location is used to select serviceable zones, calculate distance and delivery charges, show nearby vendors/products, assign delivery partners, and support live delivery updates. Delivery partner location may be used while they are logged in and handling deliveries.
Payments
Payments are processed through third-party payment providers such as Razorpay. UrbanCart does not store card numbers, UPI PINs, banking passwords, or complete payment credentials.
Data retention
We retain data as long as needed for account operation, orders, invoices, payments, legal compliance, fraud prevention, tax/accounting records, and dispute resolution. When data is no longer required, it may be deleted or anonymized.
Account deletion
You can request account deletion from https://urbancartapp.com/delete-account or by emailing mail@urbancartapp.com. Some order, invoice, payment, tax, fraud prevention, and compliance records may be retained where legally required.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to restrict access to authorized users and systems only.
Children
UrbanCart is not intended for children under 13 years of age. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it where required.
